The Member of Parliament for the Gomoa Central constituency Asare Kwame Obeng popularly known as A Plus has described as very wrong and unacceptable if persons who insult are arrested and detained in Ghana.
A Facebook post sighted by SarkNation.com reads ” Arresting and detaining people for insults is unacceptable. It is wrong—very, very wrong! #FreeAbronye”
The outspoken MP said this in relation to the detention of the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC.
Abronye DC was arrested and detained after he said some unprinted words to the IGP Tetteh Yohunu in a viral video.
He was arraigned before an the Accra Circuit Court on Tuesday September 8th,2025 and remanded into custody to reappear on September 12th.
