Appoh Abigail Crowned Miss GNATLAS Birim North District 2025

On May 16, 2025, Appoh Abigail, a teacher at Akwadum D/A Model Basic School, New Abirem  in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region, was crowned Miss GNATLAS for the district. In addition to securing the overall title, she was also awarded Most Talented and Most Eloquent. The competition saw participation from seven local GNAT branches: Abirem (Appoh Abigail), Akoase (Adu Gyamfi Veronica), Amuano Praso (no representative), Chia (Quasie Scholastica), Abenase (Asante Mafoa), Ayirebi (Nyarkoa Grace), and Ofoase (Priscilla).

Miss GNATLAS 2025 – Award Categories:

  • Most Talented: Abigail (New Abirem)

  • Most Eloquent: Abigail (New Abirem)

  • Best Catwalk: Grace (Ayirebi Local)

  • Best Costume: Grace (Ayirebi Local)

  • 3rd Runner-up: Veronica (Akoase Local)

  • 2nd Runner-up: Nancy (Abenase Local)

  • 1st Runner-up: Grace (Ayirebi Local)

  • Overall Winner : Abigail (New Abirem Local)


Organized by the Ghana National Association of Teachers Ladies Society (GNATLAS), the Round Table serves as a platform for empowering female teachers through engaging discussions, capacity-building sessions, and networking.

The event took place at the Yayaso Community Centre and was attended by the District Secretary, GNAT executives, and several local leaders
