Savannah Ladies of Ghana’s Women Premier League were ambushed by armed robbers on their way to Kumasi.
On the highway, gun-wielding thieves ambushed the team bus and plundered all of their belongings.
One of the club’s officials was injured and was brought to the hospital for treatment.
“Thanks to Allah, the team has arrived safely in Kumasi. All players are fine but one official sustained injuries. Meanwhile the robbers made away with monies of the persons on board. Below are some pictures of our bus after the robbery”, The incident was updated by the club.

This is the second time this season that robbers have assaulted a Ghanaian team en way to a Premier League club.
Last month, while returning to Obuasi from a Ghana Premier League match against Hearts of Oak in Accra, Ashantigold SC was attacked.
