Mohammed Kudus has been named Footballer of the Year at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards, marking his second consecutive win of this prestigious title.
The West Ham United midfielder surpassed rivals Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Osman Bukari, and Inaki Williams to claim the award once again.
Stellar Season at West Ham United
Kudus had an impressive debut season with West Ham United, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists in 45 appearances. His performances were instrumental in leading the Hammers to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League, where he scored five goals.
The 23-year-old also played a key role for the Black Stars in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast. Despite the team’s early exit, Kudus made a significant impact by scoring twice during the tournament.
