DODO & WIYAALA – The Swiss hitmaker meets The Lioness of Africa
Dodo has consistently produced music in Switzerland since 1999. So far, he has put out six successful solo albums.
Dodo is well-known throughout Switzerland for his work as a hit producer of some of Switzerland’s most successful artists. He has already won a number of awards for his work, including two Swiss Music Awards, nine Gold Awards, and five Platinum Awards for albums and singles.
In September 2022 the performer and hit maker pressed his studio into a steel trailer and set off on a personal and melodic journey of disclosure. His adventure journey took him on a cargo ship from Basel’s Rhine harbor to South Africa with only curiosity and a mobile container studio. His ultimate destination is Abidjan, where he grew up.
His trip has also taken him to Ghana to see Swiss expat Beda, a musician and longtime friend, after recording music in South Africa for a month. Dodo made the decision to perform a concert at Beda’s Event Center to kick off the new year, inspired by the local musical styles: Dodo and Wiyaala, the Lioness of Africa, will get the crowd dancing on January 7, 2023. Band “Beda Massive Tribe” and gifted guitarist and singer “Naya Plange” will perform for Wiyaala and Dodo.
