The former comedian David Oscar who is now a Reggae Artiste and know by so many Ghanaians recently interacted with social media users and said they can ask him just two questions and he will answer.

However, Edrino Greatness who is a blog journalist and a social media influencer asked David Oscar two most powerful questions. One was related to the current issues surrounding the E-Levy which has become the talk of the country and has caught the attention of many people especially the youth in the country. Another question was about the Ghana music industry and changes David wants to see in the industry.

1. I want to know what you think about the current E-Levy tax and do you support it?

2. What are some of the changes you want to see in the music industry?

Meanwhile, David Oscar replied to the two questions with wonderful answers. David said as a citizen, I do support progressive taxes that will help us build our nation but I just don’t see the “building the nation” part like every Ghanaian. I am also tired of the wastage, he said. If only our taxes are used for what they are supposed to be used for when collected, I am not sure we will complain that much. For now, corruption is killing us and that is why I cannot support the E-Levy.

According to David Oscar, on the changes he wants to see in our music industry includes an effective logging system which will enhance our music royalty collection and distribution is what we need. When this becomes top notch, we will make progress. He added.
