“I’ve Done Everything In Ghana Except Meet Sarkodie” – American Artiste, Chance The Rapper.
Following his win for Best International Flow at the 2019 BET Hip-Hop Awards, Sarkodie walked to the stage and said the following:
“I just want to say thank you to the Almighty God. To my family, this one is for my lil girl Titi…. I think Africa has always had it and it is about that time. This year is the Year of Return and I will urge each and every one of you here to take a trip back home. When you’re coming to Africa, choose Ghana”
Sarkodie’s message that this is the year of return and that everyone should return to Africa, particularly to Ghana, is bearing fruit.
Chance the Rapper, an American rapper, took to Twitter a few minutes later to discuss the “Year of Return” and tagged the term “Ghana.”
He couldn’t make it at the time due to the Covid-19, which prohibited travel. He is currently in Ghana, and his most awaited encounter is with King Sark before he departs for America. This has set the internet on fire, making Sarkodie the number one trending topic on Twitter.
