Meek Mill confirms phone theft

On Friday evening, hours after declaring that Ghana was lit because of his experience thus far, American rapper Meek Mill, who is spending his Christmas holidays in Ghana, sang a different tune.

On December 29, the same night he performed at the Afro Nation concert in Accra, he posted a pickpocket incident on Instagram.

“They pick pocketed me for my phoneeeeeee SMH…. Bring that Jawn back if you got it!!!” a post on his Instagram status read.

It is unknown whether the theft occurred during the concert; however, it had no effect on his performance that night.

Meek and his crew partied hard Wednesday night until daybreak in Accra, the country’s capital.

The rapper’s videos and photos dominated social media, with fans expressing their delight at having him in Ghana.

Meek Mill shared a video on Instagram chronicling his activities and encouraging his international friends to visit Ghana and the African continent.

Most foreigners, he claims, have been brainwashed by negative stories about Africa and its people.

The ‘Going Bad’ singer wrote: “Young kings came to club at 3am left and 7am on 12 o clock! #ghanalit they been keeping us from Africa huh lol my come thru be wayyyyyyyyyyyy different.”
