Parents of South African rapper AKA make an official statement hours after he passed away.
The parents of South African rapper AKA, Tony and Lynn Forbes, confirmed the untimely loss of their son and the numerous award-winning rapper late on Friday, February 11, 2023, in an announcement that startled many.
The message, which was posted by the rapper’s parents this morning, Saturday, February 11, 2023, called for the public to give them some time and privacy to grieve.
A drive-by shooting outside the Wish Restaurant in Durban, South Africa, claimed the life of AKA. Additionally, it was stated that his bodyguard had been hurt in the shooting that also claimed the life of a close friend of the rapper.
With significant collaborations from some of the biggest stars in the business, like Ice Prince, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, to name a few, AKA was in charge of some of the biggest singles in Africa.
Investigations are currently ongoing to find out those responsible for the shooting.
