Richie: My mum took out a loan from her teaching salary to help me start Lynx studio.
Richie Mensah, the Chief Executive Officer of the Lynx Entertainment Record label, has spoken about how his mother assisted him in starting his first recording studio when he initially got into the music business.
During the commencement of activities for the label’s 15th anniversary, Richie recalled how, after seeing his potential, his mother used her teaching salary to acquire him a loan to buy equipment for his recording studio.
“She used her teacher’s salary to go and take a loan and bought equipment. I was in tears on that day because it was crazy,” he said.
He also thanked his brother Albert Mensah, friends, and everyone else in the industry who helped him launch his music career.
Richie said that, as the company grows, it has established the Lynx Group of Companies, which includes a talent management division, a recording studio, and Tigon Studios, which will handle video productions.
