Moment Daddy Lumba got angry with a fan for spraying money on him on stage
Daddy Lumba, a Ghanaian highlife singer, stopped a fan from spraying money on him on stage during his performance at Accra’s Legends Night concert.
The highlife singer was enraged and yelled at the fan who continued to spray cash on his forehead despite warnings.
The unidentified fan, dressed in a two-piece blue kaftan, showered Lumba with wads of cedi notes and wrapped his hands around the singer’s shoulders as she performed.
Daddy Lumba freed his shoulders from the man’s arms and moved to the other side of the stage, but the fan pursued him.
Lumba, who was annoyed that his performance was being disrupted, abruptly stopped singing and exclaimed.
His yell drew the attention of organizers, who rushed on stage to help.
On January 1, 2023, Daddy Lumba and his counterpart, Nana Acheampong, headlined the Legends Night concert at the Grand Arena of Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The ‘Lumba Brothers’ and other highlife musicians performed back-to-back hits for the event’s attendees.
