Kanye West (Ye) the renowned artiste on his Instagram page yesterday, Sunday heaped praises on the Nigerian Superstar Wizkid, declaring his “Essence”: “Best song in the history of music to date”.
The remix of Essence, which was chosen as the 2021 summer anthem, peaked at number one on the Billboard chart.
It was nominated for various awards, such as the Grammys, and went on to win the BET Award for Best Collaboration.
The song, which was released in 2020, recently received a Gold certification from the RIAA for having sold more than 500,000 copies in the US.
It is an African artist’s first accomplishment.

Kanye also shared some of his favorite music in other posts, citing Beyoncé’s “Church Girl” as his favorite track from her most recent “Renaissance” album.
The song of the year, according to him, is “God Did” by Dj Khaled and Rick Ross.
